A BILL to amend article five, chapter eighteen of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated section fifteen-g,
relating to authorizing county boards of education to
encourage the recitation of the declaration of independence on
designated instructional days.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article five, chapter eighteen of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
fifteen-g, to read as follows:




ARTICLE 5. COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.
§18-5-15g. Recital of declaration of independence.





County boards of education may provide a program to encourage
the recitation of the Declaration of Independence on designated
instructional days in the public schools of this state.





NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize county boards
of education to encourage the recitation of the Declaration of
Independence during designated instructional days.
